Muncie Public Library, in collaboration with Nonprofit Support Network, is excited to introduce a grant writing program tailored for nonprofits in Muncie-Delaware County. Leveraging Candid's Foundation Directory Online, local expertise, and other valuable resources, this initiative aims to empower local nonprofits with the knowledge and skills needed to secure vital funding for their impactful projects.

Program Overview: Embark on a journey of grant writing excellence through this localized program. This unique learning experience, spread across two interactive sessions, will guide nonprofit staff or volunteers through the entire grant lifecycle – from strategic grant-seeking to crafting compelling proposals and effective grant management. Each session is led by local professionals who have vast experience in various aspects of fundraising from grants. 

Program Dates:

  1. Wednesday, September 18 - Preparing and Seeking: Discover the important information your organization needs to know before seeking grants. Navigate Candid's Foundation Directory Online to identify relevant funding opportunities tailored to your organization's mission and goals. Learn effective search strategies to maximize your grant-seeking efforts.

  2. Wednesday, October 2 - Writing and Managing: Hone your proposal writing skills with practical insights and hands-on exercises. Craft compelling proposals that resonate with funders, increasing your chances of securing vital grants for your organization. Understand compliance, reporting, and stewardship practices that strengthen your organization's relationship with funders.
