Special events are a tough game when it comes to fundraising. We always hear about events that raise millions of dollars, but the reality is—most don’t. It’s important to consider the return on investment and what you can really gain when it comes to that golf outing or chicken dinner gala. Let’s talk honestly about what it takes to pull off a successful special event fundraiser—and what that event means.

About the Facilitator: Laura is the founder of The Point Theater and Vice President of Fund Development at Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, where she plans “Cocktails at Camp,” a fundraiser sponsored by Sun King and IU Health that brings 500 adults to Camp Dellwood for a night of live music, archery, and campfire songs.
